Saturday’s South Carolina COVID report

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Carolina have once again surpassed 1,000 for a 24-hour period. DHEC Saturday announced 1,250 new confirmed cases and 42 additional confirmed deaths.  This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 115,661 and 2.653 confirmed deaths. An additional 10 COVID-19 deaths confirmed among Oconee County residents raises the county’s total since March to 1,017.  On Friday, DHEC listed one probable Oconee County death  Confirmed Oconee deaths Friday and Saturday remained 16. The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 6,087 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 20.5%
