Saturday accident takes life of Westminster man

A Saturday noon hour accident in Oconee County took the life of a 49-year old man. Coroner Karl Addis said James Brian Tharp died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 12:10 pm Saturday at Bountyland Road and Poplar Ridge Drive. Addis says the accident was a head-on collision. No other details were available this morning from the highway patrol.
