Salem man faces multiple drug and traffic offenses

Oconee Sheriff’s Office has laid multiple charges against a Salem area man whose car was stopped by a deputy sheriff over the Labor Day weekend in Tamassee.  After the traffic stop on n. highway 11 near Flat Shoals Road, the sheriff’s office reports, the following charges against Jeremy David Larkin:  possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime; and citations that allege open container in a vehicle; driving under suspension; failure to maintain insurance on a vehicle; operating an uninsured vehicle; and improper use of a license plate.  According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy sheriff made the traffic stop after the discovery that a license plate on a black Acura was registered to a Honda Accord.
