RUTH RICE

Seneca – Ruth Hix Rice, 93, daughter of the late Robert Dendy and Lula S. Hix, married to the late Harold J. Rice for 62 years, passed away on Saturday, October 1^st, 2022 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Oconee County, South Carolina, Mrs. Rice retired from Kendall, after 32 years and was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church. Ruth is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

 

A loving mother and Nana, she is survived by her two daughters, Jan Rice of Seneca, South Carolina, and Jill Rice-Mullikin (Scotty) of Fair Play, South Carolina; grandchildren Jenika Herron (Heath), Cody Mullikin (Brandi), and Kyle Whitworth, all of Fair Play, South Carolina.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her siblings.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 8^th, 2022 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church with a private burial to take place at the church cemetery.
