Rusty Moore
Seneca – William “Rusty” Russell Moore, 74, husband of Judy A. Moore, passed away Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at Brushy Creek Post Acute Care in Greer, SC.
He was born in Oconee County, to the late Eugene and Ivor Moore. Rusty retired from Bellsouth, served in the National Guard, was a coach and mentor to many young athletes, and was a faithful member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Judy of 50 years; he is survived by a son, Jeff Moore (Susan) of Seneca; brothers, Clarence B. “Jerry” Moore of Anderson, James Earl Moore of Ingleside TX; two grandchildren, Caroline Moore and Jake Moore (honorary grandchild, Heaven Green); many beloved nieces and nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Warren “Russ” Russell Moore; brothers, George D. Moore, Richard F. “Dick” Moore, Buddy Moore; and sister, Lucille Virginia Moore.
A Private Graveside Service for family and close friends will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 at Heritage Memorial Gardens. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family asks that all who attend the service wear face masks and practice social distancing.
