Rosie Lee Goss

Seneca, SC — Rosie Lee Goss, 87, of Seneca, went to be with her Lord, on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Manna Rehab and Healthcare Center.

 

A native of Seneca, SC, Mrs. Goss was the daughter of the late Sidney Kytle Long and Nancy Margaret “Maggie” Suttles Long. She retired after 46 years from Kendall as a sewing machine operator. She was of the Church of God faith. Rosie loved her family dearly. She enjoyed making things, sewing for coworkers and friends, and she enjoyed crocheting. Rosie also loved taking trips to the mountains. She never met strangers, loved people, and helping others.

 

Mrs. Goss is survived by her son: Calvin Jenkins of Seneca, SC; daughters: Carol Haney of Seneca, SC and Beverly Cox (Michael) of Townville, SC; brother: Earl Long (Joyce) of Pendleton, SC, and sisters: Audrey James (Troy) of Seneca, SC, Pearl Goss of Seneca, SC and Dovie Morton of Anderson, SC; grandchildren: Patricia Carter (Tim), Claye Jenkins, Renee Jenkins, Jarad Putnam (Bianca), Denise Putnam, Travis Cox and Kayla Collins (James Wesley); great-grandchildren: Katlyn Moore, Josh Moore, Lucas Jenkins, Wyatt Jenkins, Jonathan Putnam, Taylor Cox, Braden Collins, and Adalynn Collins.

 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goss is preceded in death by her first husband: Furman Jenkins, and her second husband: William Clyde Goss; brothers: Grady Long, Ramon Long, Ray Long, James Long, and Conrad Long; sisters: Louise Stancil and Mildred Long.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

 

The family is at their respective homes.
