Rolann Cleveland Lee

Hazel Rolann Cleveland Lee, 81, wife of the late Furman Gerald Lee Sr., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 21st, 2022. 

 

Rolann attended Westminster High School where she was a drum majorette and was the first member of the Palmetto Girls State. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Central Wesleyan College and later received her Master’s degree from Clemson University.  Rolann was a retired educator from the Oconee County School District after teaching 38 years in Special Education at Westminster Elementary School, and a recipient of the Golden Apple Award. Rolann was known for her dedication to giving back to the community. She was a past president of the band booster club, ran the Westminster swimming pool where she taught swimming lessons and was a clogging instructor of the Apple Dumplins. Rolann was a devoted member of the Westminster Garden Club, American Legion, Joyful Jingles, Lions Club, Brownies & Girl Scout Troop #13, UDC, and was known for being faithful to God and being a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church.

 

Rolann was the first of six children born to the late Marshall Dupre Cleveland and the late Hazel Duke Cleveland.  She loved her family very much.  Rolann is survived by her children, Jay Lee (Sallie and children Ashton (Tim) and a great-granddaughter, Myers (MyMy), Katherine and Corbin), Duke Lee (Angela and children Caroline and Lauren), and Treva Lee (Doraine and son Hank), Tonja Lee Alnajjar (Ammar),  and Marshelle Lee Killian (John and children Matthew, John Michael, Daniel, and Bethany); and her siblings, Marshall Duke Cleveland, Gayle Cleveland, and the late Gloria C Yassen (Abed), the late Marilyn Cleveland and the late Cheryl Cleveland.

 

A funeral service will be held, at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 at Westminster Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – to 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Westminster Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee will be laid to rest during a private burial at East View Cemetery.
