ROGER THRIFT
Westminster – Roger Berman Thrift, 74, husband of Linda Green Thrift, passed away on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at Prisma Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late James Roscoe and June Rogers Thrift. Roger attended Gardner Webb University and was the co-owner and operator of Thrift Lumber Company. Roger had a great passion for cattle farming and was known as a tree farmer.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Green Thrift of 54 plus years of marriage; son, Roger Brent Thrift and wife Shannon of Westminster; two grandchildren, Roger William Brent Thrift (Kelsey) and Hannah June Thrift (Cole Bryson); three great-grandchildren, Wren Thrift, Gunner Dickson and Liam Smith; brother, Joel Thrift and wife Debbie of Westminster; sister, Candice Y. Thrift of North Carolina; step-mother, Sharon Thrift of North Carolina; numerous nephews and nieces.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Thrift.
Per Roger’s wishes a private burial will take place at Heritage Memorial Gardens.
