Road paver in line for Oconee road work

The Liberty-based King Asphalt is in position to be awarded state contracts that’ll entail three packages of road improvements in the 2021 paving season.  For King Asphalt, the work will encompass $8 million dollars of improvements on primary and secondary roads across Oconee County, including a lengthy section of SC 11 from Critter Road north to Collins Road in the vicinity of Davenport Funeral Home.  Motorists have complained to 101.7/WGOG NEWS that parts of SC 11 and 107 in northern Oconee are two of the most beat-up highways in the county that have gone begging for a new smooth cover.  Another project for which King is primed to tackle is the re-paving of Seneca’s Wells Highway from S. Oak Street to the Friendship Road.
