Richard Blackwell returns to public life

A seasoned pro in the field of industry recruitment will lend his voice to the policy board of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority.  At its 2022 re-organization meeting, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander announced the appointment of Richard Blackwell to serve in his city’s fourth seat on the JRSA board of commissioners.  As such, Blackwell succeeds Sharon Hennes, whose resignation was made known at the meeting.  Seneca’s other JRSA representatives were re-appointed:  Bob Faires, Scott Moulder, and Scott McLane.  The city council chambers last night were filled beyond capacity as Bo Bowman, the city attorney, gave the oath of office to five individuals elected to four-year terms in November.  Seneca welcomed its newest council member, Lekesha Benson.  Four others are starting new four-year terms:  Mayor Alexander and council members Ronnie O’Kelley, Al Gaines, and Dana Moore.
