Report of plane crash

Oconee authorities are investigating a report of a possible plane crash near Walhalla.  An unconfirmed report indicates someone heard what sounded like the sputtering of the engine of a small plane in the vicinity of n. highway 11 in the Picket Post Community.  Sheriff Crenshaw says his office is activating its helicopter to assist.  A command post is being organized at the community fire department–Picket Post Camp Oak.
