Relief fund for those with electrical needs

A tornado relief fund established by Seneca is available to help those who need immediate help to restore electric service to their homes.  Although power may have been repaired by the utility company, severe damage to the service on a homeowner’s property may hamper the final connection.  Work of this nature is the responsibility of the homeowner.  The relief fund is there to compensate.  If you are still without power and are unable to afford an electrician, call Seneca city officials at 885-2700 or 885-2721.  The relief fund money may also be allocated to help repair roofs and remove sheared off trees.  If you would like to donate to the fund, drop off a check (no cash) at the drive-thru at City Hall, or mail a check to the City of Seneca Tornado Relief Fund at POB 4773, Seneca, SC  29679, or drop off a check at any drive-thru at Oconee Federal Savings and Loan.  Please make checks payable to City of Seneca Tornado Relief Fund.  Credit cards or direct-fund transfer cannot be accepted.
