Regulatory board deems two Seneca projects appropriate

Building and other changes for two locations inside Seneca’s design review district received the blessings of a regulatory board last night at the City Hall. The city’s Board of Architectural Review approved certificates of appropriateness for projects at 402 S. Depot Street and 401 S. Walnut. The property owner will be allowed to re-build a home to replace what had been a derelict structure on South Depot, according to planner Ed Halbig. And the property owners on S. Walnut may proceed with a plan to replace an earlier addition “that’s more in keeping with the original structure,” Halbig told 101./7WGOG NEWS. The projects fell within the board’s purview because they are located inside the city design review district.
