“Refugee” from Tennessee leads Oconee Democrats

At a young age, Tennessean Rod Stipe fell in love with the Chattooga Wild and Scenic River and he plotted how one day he might live locally.  He has been able to accomplish that and, now as a Long Creek resident, he finds himself leading the Oconee Democratic Party.  101.7/WGOG NEWS today polled Stipe on his stance on whether Joe Biden, now an 81-year-old president, should bow out of the November race — in light of the president’s poor showing during the first of two debates with Republican Donald Trump, former president.  Stipe doesn’t believe so and he’s sticking behind Biden, citing a record of accomplishments that have bode the Biden administration well, especially since its work at leading the country out of the pandemic.
