Recognition for a top Salem resident

The Salem community on Saturday recognized a town resident who has racked up 70 years of service to his town.  Charles Rogers received a key to the town, along with a lifetime achievement award.  Rogers and his wife, Sue, are both 90 years old, and they’ve been married 70 years.  Charles Rogers was instrumental in Salem’s school getting a gymnasium.  The first Salem basketball team played on a dirt court.
