RAYMOND WHITE
Townville–Raymond Belton White, 73, entered into eternal peace, Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at Prisma Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, Raymond was the son of the late Clifford and Eunice Inez Stancil White. Raymond was a retired brick mason with DA Collins and had a great passion for playing the guitar and fishing. Raymond’s family was his greatest love. He was a devoted and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
Raymond is survived by his four daughters, Dena Padgett (Jamie) , Laura Popham (Chad), Janice Rogers (Keith), Shannon Tilson (Shon); and his two sons, Steven Compton (Kim) and Douglas Compton (Jessica); brother, Hershel White (Betty) of Walhalla and a sister, Joyce Schlock (Derral) of Townville; twenty-two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his life partner for over 40 years, Gay Compton; a grandson, Blake Heaton; a granddaughter, Izzabelle Sheriff; four brothers, Doyle White, Dewey White, Virgil White, Milton White; and three sisters, Evelyn Robinson, Betty Stalnaker, and Myra Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm.
