Ray “Danny” Underwood Jr.

Townville – Ray “Danny” Underwood Jr., 59, husband of Susan Vickie Swafford Underwood, passed away on Saturday, October 8^th, 2022 at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House.

 

Danny was the son of the late Ray D. Underwood Sr. and Bobbie Jean Smith Watkins.  Ray was a cabinet installer, who had a great passion for hunting and fishing.

 

Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Vickie Swafford Underwood; children, Daniel Underwood, Christopher Underwood, Harold Underwood, Ben Underwood, Mark Haney, and Ashley Underwood; five brothers, Donnie Underwood, Rusty Underwood, William Certain, William Watkins, Stevie Watkins; a sister, Barbara Cutchen twenty-four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

 

In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by sisters, Lisa Roach and Sherri Mae Richardson.

 

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12^th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12^th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home prior to the service.
