Ray Bolo

 

Walhalla- Raymond John Bolo, 88 beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend left his earthly home on August 10th, 2021 for his new home in heaven with Jesus. He leaves his wife of 68 years, Marcia and three daughters, Deborah Anderson, Bonnie-Rae Chit and Andrea King, as well as ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

 

Preceding him in death was his oldest daughter Marcia Alyce Bolo.

 

Ray was well known in Michigan for his expertise in golf. He was head pro at Western Golf and Country Club for 38 years. He was inducted in the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame, Michigan P.G.A. Golf Hall of Fame and Senior Player of the year several times.

 

In South Carolina he was proud of starting Christian Men’s Golf league and helping start Falcon’s Lair Golf Club and he was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

 

Ray loved God, Marica, his family and the great outdoors. He was a gentle giant and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to be a part of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of Great Love and tolerance and hope for a new beginning when we will all see him again.

 

At Raymond’s request no formal service will be held at this time.
