Ralph Crooks
Seneca- Ralph Blease Crooks, 85, husband of the late Janice Elaine Gillispie Crooks, passed away on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Seneca, South Carolina, Ralph was the son of the late Lloyd Crooks and Alma Nelms Crooks. Ralph was a United States Veteran having served in the Army National Guard for over 3 years. He was the owner and operator of Ralph’s Barber Shop and was a builder with Frontier Builders, and a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church.
Ralph is survived by his son, Steve Crooks and wife Hope of Mountain Rest; brothers, Donnie Crooks and wife Mary Ann of Westminster; sister, Mertie Mae Honea of Seneca; three grandchildren, Coleman Crooks of Rhode Island, Kyle Crooks (Savannah Toole) of Walhalla, and Claire Crooks (Grayson Edmonds) of Mountain Rest.
Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Crooks; brother, Charles Crooks; sister in law, Audrey Crooks and brother in law, Bob Honea.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, May 29th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Monday, May 29th, 2023, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
