Raising the bar for high school honor grads

In front of the Oconee school trustees on Monday will be changes to the district policy covering honor roll and class rankings. Changes proposed would raise to 4.25 the grade-point-average for a high school senior to make honor graduate and to 4.75 the grade-point-average for a senior to graduate with high honors. Those honors are determined by rank in class at the end of the 12th grade year. The county trustees will meet at 6 Monday night at the district headquarters.
