PVS Sensors part of a growing Oconee industrial community

The investors in the public-private partnership that is the Oconee Economic Alliance were told yesterday of a continuous upswing of investment in the county’s industry base.  According to Richard Blackwell, the executive director, it’s paying off in job creation and growth to the county’s tax base.  In closing remarks during the annual meeting, vice-chairman Zach Hinton noted that 2017 is drawing close to its end and 2018 should be a year to try to continue the progress.  One example of industrial growth is a new building that is going up next door to Dynamic Fluid Components on SC 28.  That new building will be the home of PVS Sensors, which is in the business of designing and making pressure switchers and transducers.  Peter Leroy, who is recent years sold Dynamic Fluid Components, explains he grew tired of being on the sidelines and decided he wanted to get back into the manufacturing sector.  Timetable for the new PVS Sensors is April, and the company will be hiring additional workers.
