Public schools return to session tomorrow

This is the last day of leisure for Oconee’s public school population. More than 10 thousand students will take some form of transportation to and from school tomorrow, for the start of the third quarter of the academic year. Remember to watch for kids at the bus stops and parents should allow plenty of time to get through the drop-off and pickup lines. District administration is hopeful that both students and staff have enjoyed their break and will be ready tomorrow to resume the academic year. Steve Hanvey, associate superintendent, says, “Because we missed a couple of days with inclement weather, February 18 and March 25 will now be regular days.”
