Public parks new announcement

The following actions will be taken, effective immediately, to limit face-to-face interactions and avoid group gatherings within Oconee County’s system of public parks
 Chau Ram, High Falls and South Cove County Parks day use and campgrounds will be closed until further notice effective Wednesday, March 25th at 12:00 p.m. All camping reservations are being cancelled with full refunds through April 30. That date is subject to change as needed.  The boat ramp access points on Lake Keowee and Lake Hartwell which are managed by Oconee County will remain open to boat launch traffic only. No other entry will be allowed into the parks.  All buildings, restrooms and day use areas will be closed to the public until further notice. All those accessing the lake(s) should practice social distancing with a minimum of 6 ft. distance from others.  All park programs will be postponed until further notice.  All county park buildings and shelter rentals will be cancelled with a full refund until April 30.  The Oconee History Museum will be closed until further notice.
