Property considered for prime development to be marketed

Surveyors were recently seen at work on 148 acres just west of Seneca, and a real estate worker tells 101.7/WGOG NEWS the property owner has his company to prepare the acreage for a marketing campaign for sale.  A few years ago, vacant land between the Wal-Mart and the Oconee Country Club was bequeathed to the Thornwell Children’s Home.  The children’s home has now engaged the commercial real estate brokerage company Colliers to prepare the property for sale.  Colliers’ Frank Hammond of Greenville says, “We see it as a variety of uses.”  He calls it a “great place” along a 123 corridor (the Sandifer Boulevard).
