Pre-Christmas week Oconee car wrecks

Heavy pre-Christmas week car accidents on heavily-used highways are creating traffic backups this afternoon in Oconee County.  State troopers reported injuries at 123 and Mahaffey Drive near Seneca.  That accident caused a long backup for westbound traffic.  The patrol reports an accident on 188/the Keowee School Road at Cane Creek and Harbor roads.  There was a long backup of traffic on that two-lane stretch of roadway.  101.7/WGOG NEWS is also aware of two other accidents in and around the Seneca city limits.
