Power supplier opening policy-making slots

The multi-county electric power retailer Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative will accept nominees next week to fill three positions on its board of directors.  One of those positions will represent Oconee County customers on Blue Ridge’s policy board.  Blue Ridge customers inside District #1 (Oconee County) are invited to attend a 10 o’clock Monday morning, March 8 meeting at the Co-Op Office on the Sandifer Boulevard to make nominations.  The current District One board member, Mendel Stone, is seeking re-election.  The next morning–Tuesday, March 9, Blue Ridge customers in District #2 (Pickens County) are invited to nominate individuals for seats now held by Jimmy Lee Dodgens and Frank Looper Jr.  Both Dodgens and Looper are running again. COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed at the meetings.
