Plans for Hall Street recreation complex in jeopardy?

Developing a new recreation complex in Westminster, at the least, could be delayed for years, and the reason is priorities that supersede the city’s need to expand its recreation offerings.  Those priorities are the likelihood that the city will need to come up with millions of dollars for water and electric service upgrades.  Questions arose during last night’s council meeting on whether the city could recover some of the money spent toward the planned complex on Hall Street.  To build or not build a new recreation facility on Hall Road, there appears city council consensus that the city can expand its offerings at a less expensive price.  One suggestion is expanding the M-D Cleveland Recreation Center.  The council would like Herb Poole, the recreation director, to be present for the next meeting to tell exactly what he’d like.
