Pete Price

Seneca – Rev. Jerry “Pete” Alton Price, 79, husband of Virginia Alexander Price, passed away Friday, July 8^th, 2022.

 

Born in Seneca, South Carolina, Pete was the son of the late Carl Price and Ruth Honea Price.  Pete was retired from Duke Power, a former pastor at Faith Baptist Chapel in Mountain Rest, the Founding Pastor at New Haven Baptist Church in Seneca and he was a member of Seneca Baptist Church.   Pete was also a United States Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Seneca Post, and a former soccer and baseball coach with the Recreational Department.

 

Pete is survived by his wife, Gin, of 56 years; sons, Jeffrey Brett Price, Jason Bradley Price, Jarrett Alton Price (Sherry); grandchildren, Madison Price, Dakota Bryson, Cole Bryson; brother-in-law, Dwight Owens; niece, Tammy Wilbanks (Steven), and numerous other nieces and nephews, beloved family members, and special friends, “The Posse”.

 

In addition to his parents, Pete is preceded in death by his sister, Toni Rebecca Price Owens, and his nephew, Rev. Scottie Owens.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 11, 2022 at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
