Permit required to use a Walhalla green space

The numbers of people wanting to use a Walhalla green space are on the increase – so much so that the city has adopted a policy to require use permits for Brown Square, the city-owned green space at Main and S. College.  No fee will be required for the use permit, but the user must carry liability insurance.  About the required permit, City Administrator Brandon Burton said, “….this will help us ensure people are using the City’s green spaces in accordance to our Ordinances and that we know who’s supposed to be there or not.”  You can apply for a permit at City Hall or through the city’s website.
