Pay raises are part of proposed Oconee budget

Pay raises as high as three percent for Oconee County government employees are included in the new budget proposed by Scott Moulder, the county administrator. Moulder suggests the county award raises of 1, 2, and 3% for employees based on the salaries they make. Three percent would go the employees who make the least; a 1% increase for those employees making more than $80 thousand. In answer to a question by District Three’s Paul Cain, Moulder said the county’s elected officials would be included in the raises.
