PATRICIA “PAT” ANN WILBANKS

Westminster, SC — Patricia “Pat” Ann Wilbanks, 80, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, August 25th, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A native of Athens, GA, Pat was the daughter of the late Ernest Sorrow and Oneida Benton Sorrow Becker. She worked for Crenshaw Tax Services for several years, later went to SNS South as the office manager, and ended her working career at VIP Cleaners. She was known for her fun and feisty personality, with a smile that was big, and beautiful and a laugh that was contagious. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and you would always hear her say, “GO DAWGS!”. Pat attended Holly Springs Baptist Church for many years.

Pat is survived by her daughters: Christie Crenshaw Norwood (Mike), Sherri Crenshaw McMahan (Scott), Pam Crenshaw Grubbs (Jay), and Alison Crenshaw Carter (Brian); ten grandchildren; twenty- two great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and several special extended families that she loved and cared for deeply: MJ McMahan, Bob and Cheryll Crenshaw, Ray and Barbara Carter, Tony O’Kelley, Lillian Murphy, Lori Burkhart and David and Nancy Collins.

To many, she was known as Pat, but her biggest and greatest accomplishment in life was being called Nannie or “Old Woman”. Spending time with her daughters, all her grandchildren, and friends were some of her favorite memories that she cherished more than anything else in this lifetime.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by the father of her daughters: Arthur Crenshaw; ex-husband: Roger D. Wilbanks; step- father: Ralph Becker; brother: Henry Sorrow; grandson: Jason Harbin; and special friends: Sammy and Mildred O’Kelley and Donnie Murphy. She was the last surviving member of her family.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Heritage Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held prior to the services, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, at Heritage Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum.
