Paris “Pete” Cobb
Westminster – Paris “Pete” Collins Cobb, 88, husband of Sylvia Vinson Cobb, passed away on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 at Fairview Park Assisted Living.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Pete was the son of the late Leslie Cobb and Mary Cobb. Pete formerly worked for Oconee Mills for many years and later retired from Dunlop in the quality control department. Pete was a member of Westminster First Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Pete was also a Shriner and a member of the Westminster Masonic Lodge #200.
Pete is survived by his loving wife; son, Joel Leslie “Les” Cobb (Ann); one grandson, Cody Chastain Cobb; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Pete is preceded in death by his infant son, Paris Bryan Cobb; brothers, Charles Cobb, Calvin Cobb; and two sisters, Myra Bagwell, and Ann Burns.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
The family is at their respective homes.
