Over the holidays, school COVID cases exceed 100

Oconee public schools are getting an indicator of how prevalent the spread of COVID-19 remains in the community.  Their spokeswoman says that over the Christmas and New Year’s break, a total of 126 new cases were voluntarily reported thru a self-reporting link on the district and school websites.  During the interval, there were 45 employee and 81 student cases, to make for the 126 total.  Jennifer Dodd, spokesman, said, “Many of those will have already completed their isolation/quarantine allowing them to return today.  I don’t have an exact count of how many are still quarantined.”
