Outside water use restrictions remain

A late afternoon rainstorm Friday deposited .83″ in Walhalla, and city water department has seen improvements but still experiencing pressure issues in the system.  Walhalla continues to ask that customers temporarily restrict their outdoor water use and follow water conservation measures.  At this time, the water department requests all customers turn off their irrigation systems.  Those systems can use “+/-5 gallons of water per sprinkler head a minute, depending on the model.  These temporary measures are aimed at ensuring adequate water supply for household use.  Agricultural operations are exempt.  Personnel will re-evaluate the conditions on Monday, and further updates will follow.
