Oconeean changes plan to attend convention

An Oconee County Republican has scrapped her plan to attend this month’s national convention, but it doesn’t mean Pat Murray is any less of a President Trump supporter.  On the contrary, Murray believes Trump more than ever deserves a second term and she’s supporting his re-election.  Concerns over the potential to spread COVID-19 in large gatherings, the GOP convention has been something of a political football kicked from one state to another and back.  “I had every intention of going to Jacksonville.  The COVID-19 did not impact my decision to go to Jacksonville, but unfortunately the convention (there) has been cancelled and all of the party work is going to take place in Charlotte,” Murray explained this afternoon.  Murray has been involved in politics many years, but she says she has never been more enthusiastic about the GOP Trump-Pence ticket.
