Oconee suspect caught in the low state

The man who eluded a traffic stop and then allegedly fired a gun at a deputy has been captured in rural Hampton County in the South Carolina low state.  According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Lee O’Donald was taken into custody Friday afternoon by the U-S Marshal’s Service and the fugitive task force of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.  Last Monday an Oconee deputy became suspicious of a car in the parking lot of a bank near Keowee Key.  That’s when a traffic stop was initiated, which led to the exchange of gunfire between the deputy and the suspect.
