Oconee murder conviction before appeals court

The case of a young Walhallan convicted of murder will be considered by the South Carolina Appeals Court. The case of South Carolina versus Kenneth Strother Collins is one of several cases listed by the appeals court to be submitted without oral arguments. A source close to the case says Collins is appealing his conviction of the murder in 2015 of Jeremy Lee Little at a home on Walhalla’s N. Laurel Street. The 28-year old Collins was sentenced to 50 years in prison. The weapon that killed Little was described at trial as a dagger-type knife, doubled-edged, with a blade of seven inches.
