Northeast Georgia school administrator in quarantine

The superintendent of Stephens County, Georgia public schools has entered quarantine for 14 days after exposure to COVID-19.  Toccoa’s WNEG reported that Dr. Daniel Oldham made the announcement this morning in an email.  Oldham explained that one of his family members has tested positive for the virus.  As for his decision to go public, Oldham said, “During this time, it is important to lead by example with full transparency and consistency in how these scenarios are handled.”  The family member received his results today, and the district superintendent was notified at 7:45 this morning.  While home, Oldham will work remotely and be accessible by phone and email.
