Norma Jean Galloway

Walhalla – Norma Jean Galloway, 75, wife of the late James Marvin Galloway, Sr., 320 Rocky Knoll Road, passed away Saturday, October 30th, 2021 peacefully at Hospice of the Foothills in Seneca, South Carolina.

 

Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Wilbanks and Mary Jane Blumer Wilbanks. She attended Scenic Heights Baptist Church in West Union, South Carolina. She was retired from Sangamo /Schlumberger. Norma enjoyed reading, fishing, playing the piano and guitar, especially when singing gospel music with her family, cooking for her family and tending to her farm animals.

 

Norma is survived by sons; James “Jim” Marvin Galloway Jr. (Amanda) of Mt. Rest, Timmy Galloway of Mt. Rest; daughters, Sylvia J. Galloway Broome (Alan) of Walhalla, Pamela K. Galloway Black (Rev. Steve) of Walhalla, and Tammy Annette Galloway Croll (Scott) of Wheaton, Illinois; sisters, Patricia Alexander (David) of Tamassee, Helen Blackwell (Robert) of Walhalla, and Vera Rogers (Kenny) of Walhalla; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Jackson Wilbanks and sister, Alice “Sally” McGuffin.

 

A memorial service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, November 27th, 2021 at Scenic Heights Baptist Church in West Union, South Carolina.
