No takers during Seneca hearing
Big numbers reflected Seneca’s various budgets during a hearing last night at City Hall. After there were no takers from the audience to address the city leaders, Mayor Dan Alexander entertained a motion to amend the city’s general budget to reflect a higher tax rate of 59.33 mills. After the general budget received final approval, the council approved a $29.2 million utilities budget that reflects a five percent increase in sewer charges. Other approved budgets cover hospitality and accommodations money, the transit system, and the facilities corporation.
