No money in the next budgets for drive-thru

One year ago, there were indications Walhalla intended to fast-track the construction of a drive-thru window at its city hall on N. Church Street.  It never happened, and a year later one councilman remains convinced the drive-thru is still a pressing need.  Not entirely for the reasons of protecting public health in the pandemic, but for easing the physical restraints that some people have in simply getting in and getting out of a vehicle.  “This,” says Councilman David Underwood, “is an item that I would like to see happen….”  Currently, there’s no money in the next recommended city budgets for the drive-thru.
