No audience permitted at meeting tonight

Here’s an announcement from David Root, the Oconee County Attorney:  “Tonight’s 6:00 p.m. meeting of the Oconee County Council will go forward as scheduled. Consistent with President Trump’s guidance and that received from the CDC and other authorities, in order to avoid a significant gathering of people, the general public will not be permitted to attend in person. To ensure the meeting is open to the public, however, you may observe the meeting live on YouTube through the County’s website at oconeesc.com, and we will be broadcasting the meeting locally on FM 92.3, which you will be able to access if you are parked near the building. There are no public hearings scheduled for this evening, but if you have a comment you would like to submit, please email our Clerk to Council, Katie Smith at [email protected]. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
