Antti Raanta had 35 saves while Seth Jarvis and Nino Niederreiter scored a pair of quick second-period goals, helping the Hurricanes beat the Boston Bruins 5-1 on Monday night in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.  Other NHL playoff scores include Toronto Maple Leafs beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-0, Toronto leads series 1-0, St. Louis Blues defeated Minnesota Wild 4-0, St. Louis leads series 1-0 and the Los Angeles Kings skated by the Edmonton Oilers 4-3, Los Angeles leads series 1-0.
