New Walhalla commitee forming

The membership of a new committee to make a better Walhalla is forming. Mayor Edwards this morning said, “We have some names to talk with, a couple of agreed to serve. We’ll probably have announcement this weekend or by Monday.” On Tuesday, toward the end of a fifth day of Civil War memorial protests, Edwards announced plans to form the committee.  In part the committee, as he explained, will be designed to ensure that “people with voices can be heard.”  Among those expected to take seats on the committee are the police chief, Sean Brinson, and at least one city council member, along with community residents.
