New Seneca business people open the city’s eyes

Seneca welcomes the start-up of a pair of separate downtown businesses, not only from an historic standpoint.  Scott Moulder, city administrator, told yesterday’s Black History Tea that the pair of startups—one by an African-American and the other by a Latina—not only as progress in the city’s efforts to re-vitalize the downtown business district, but as an eye-opener when it comes to the hurdles that any small business person faces when it comes to acquiring the necessary city permits.  In a moment of exasperation, Moulder commented, “I don’t see how anybody goes thru opening a business here based on the process they have to go thru.  We are actually in the middle now of analyzing our business process and analyzing those business barriers…”
