New middle school property identified

An exhibit page that accompanies the agenda for next week’s Oconee School Board meeting identifies the properties being recommended for the Seneca Middle School. A sketch of the properties shows two large parcels fronting the Wells Highway and Garrison Road. In all, according to associate superintendent Steve Hanvey, recommended for purchase will be between 35 and 40 acres for the building and campus to replace the existing middle school on WS 4th Street Extension. The property purchase is on the agenda for the 6 pm Monday meeting of the board at school district headquarters in Walhalla.
