New government inspector at Oconee Nuclear

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Adam Ruh as one of the resident inspectors at the Oconee Nuclear Station. Since 2014, Ruh has been a resident inspector at the Browns Ferry nuclear plant in Alabama. Before joining the government agency, he provided engineering support for overhauling and de-activating two submarines at the Norfolk, Virginia naval shipyard. At Oconee, Ruh joins senior resident inspector Eddy Crowe and resident inspector Jason Parent. They can be reached by 864/882-6927. At least two NRC resident inspectors are assigned to each operating U-S commercial nuclear plant. They serve as the agency’s eyes and ears at the plant, conducting inspections, monitoring major work projects, and inter-acting with plant workers and the public. Resident inspectors can serve at a reactor site for up to seven years.
