New drug sweep across Oconee
A new drug roundup across Oconee is producing multiple suspects and large amounts of illegal drugs. Sheriff Mike Crenshaw says in traffic stops the last few weeks his officers have seized more than a quarter of a million dollars in illegal narcotics. In the sweep that started yesterday morning, 23 people are sought on charges involving meth, marijuana, heroin, crack, cocaine, and prescription drugs. By 3 pm yesterday, 12 people had been arrested.
