NE Georgia woman faces Oconee theft charges

Nearly six-year old theft charges in Oconee County have landed a Lavonia, Georgia woman in the Oconee jail. Arrest warrants were served last weekend on Candance Nicole Tukes charging petty larceny. Tukes is accused in 2013 of using a debit card belonging to someone else to buy an item for $1.58; allegedly took a wallet belonging to a second person valued at about $100 dollars; allegedly using a debit card belonging to a second person to obtain $9 cash; and allegedly taking a wallet and contents belonging to the second person valued at about $20 dollars. The incidents are alleged to have occurred November 16, 2013.
