Mountain Rest school owner joins national board

The owner/CEO of the Whetstone Academy in Mountain Rest, John Singleton, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs. The official announcement takes place this week at the association’s annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas. Singleton serves as executive director at Whetstone Academy—a therapeutic boarding school for boys 10 to 15 years old. He is credited with founding a not-for-profit organization that supports education and treatment of non-conforming youth and young adults.
